Copenhagen and Skagen, Denmark's shipbuilding chain.

The logistics hub for our Danish work. Karstensen Shipyard in Skagen, partner since 2018, is our principal Danish engagement. Copenhagen serves material flows, coordination and crew mobilisation.

About this location

Denmark has one of the most specialised shipbuilding chains in Europe. Karstensen Shipyard in Skagen, at the northern tip of the country, has built commercial fishing and specialised vessels for North Sea fleets for nearly a century. Copenhagen is the country's logistics and financial centre, a natural hub for material mobilisation to northern yards.

RS Marine has worked with Karstensen since 2018. Crews mobilise from Gdynia, typically via Copenhagen and onward to Skagen, or directly on contractor transport. Experience with Danish QA and regional logistics is in place.

What we do here

Capabilities we deliver in Copenhagen.

01

Work for Karstensen in Skagen

Hull construction for fishing and specialised vessels, sub-contractor scope tailored per programme.

02

Logistics via Copenhagen

Copenhagen is the material-flow hub from Poland to northern Denmark. We use this corridor when a project requires heavier logistics support.

03

Danish QA experience

Karstensen's acceptance standards, and Danish yards generally, differ from Polish ones in details, not in substance. We have the template baked in.

04

Mobile-repair service

Mobile-repair on vessels in Danish ports, short-notice arrivals when an operator cannot bring the vessel to Skagen.
