Yard · Szczecin

Szczecin, Polish shipbuilding's western coast.

Hull construction and structural work at Szczecin yards and the West Pomeranian cluster. Proximity to the German border makes this a natural bridge between Polish execution capacity and German-yard acceptance.

About this location

Szczecin is the historic, still-active centre of Polish shipbuilding on the western coast. Stocznia Szczecińska, the Morska Stocznia Remontowa "Gryfia" and a network of specialist yards operate on both sides of the Oder and the Baltic. Traditions of commercial and specialised vessel construction, including post-communist continuations, remain alive here.

From RS Marine's perspective, Szczecin is practically the PL/DE border. That makes it interesting for mixed projects: part of the work delivered in a Polish QA regime, part handed over to German customers in Greifswald, Wolgast or Stralsund. Gdynia to Szczecin is roughly a 6-hour road haul.

What we do here

Capabilities we deliver in Szczecin.

01

Hulls at Szczecin yards

Hull construction at Stocznia Szczecińska, Gryfia and other yards in the cluster. IACS/PRS standards.

02

PL/DE QA bridge

Mixed projects with acceptance on the Polish and German sides, particularly relevant when part of the scope finishes at a German yard.

03

Road logistics to Germany

6-hour road haul Gdynia to Szczecin, then another 2-3 hours to German Baltic yards. This gives flexibility that pure sea mobilisation does not.

04

Refit and conversions

Refit and conversion work at cluster yards, including vessels with longer service cycles.
