About this location
The Finnish shipbuilding cluster is one of the most specialised in Europe. Helsinki Shipyard Oy (formerly Arctech) builds ice-class vessels, icebreakers and special-purpose ships. Meyer Turku, 165 km to the west, runs premium cruise-vessel series. Both sites work to demanding DNV and Lloyd's Register documentation, with welding procedures fitted to high-yield steel grades.
