About this location
Stockholm is Sweden's financial and logistics centre, and the eastern-coast ports nearby handle significant ferry, cargo and passenger traffic on the Baltic. The main regional repair facility, Stockholms Reparationsvarv on Beckholmen island, has operated since the 19th century and services vessels under DNV and Lloyd's Register class. The region is also a mobilisation hub for projects further into Sweden, including the route for material logistics to the larger centres on the west coast.
